This season, the Hampton Township community offers a vibrant mix of events, programs, and opportunities. There’s something for everyone, from alumni outreach to health workshops and unique educational programs.
Hampton Grads Sought for Alumni Survey
The Hampton Township School District invites alumni to reflect on their high school experiences and help strengthen the Talbot community. The district aims to gather insights to enhance the Hampton experience and grow its alumni network.
Alumni can participate in the Hampton alum connection survey, which will be sent out later this year. Participants can enter to win prizes—but the greatest reward is supporting the district’s efforts to increase mentorships, internships, and other valuable opportunities.

Blood Donors Needed: Save Lives This Month
January marks National Blood Donor Month, and the American Red Cross and Vitalant emphasize the urgent need for blood donations. Type O blood remains the most critical—and can help the broadest range of patients.
The Red Cross offers a chance to win a trip to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans for donors who give blood or platelets by Jan. 26. Details are available at RedCrossBlood.org/SuperBowl.
Vitalant also highlights its “Thrive in ’25” giveaway. The contest allows donors to win one of three $10,000 gift cards through Jan. 31. Learn more at http://www.vitalant.org.
Nearby donation opportunities include:
- Jan. 29, 9 a.m.–7 p.m.: Hampton High School Gym, 2929 McCully Road
- Pittsburgh North Hills Donation Center (9365 McKnight Road) has various dates available.
Pets Can Be Blood Donors, Too
BluePearl Pet Hospital reminds pet owners that dogs and cats can also save lives through blood donation. Donations can help up to three other pets in need.
Pets must be healthy, friendly, between 1 and 8 years old, and meet specific weight requirements. Donor pets receive free physical exams, lab work, and plenty of treats.
BluePearl’s Pittsburgh North location, at 807 Camp Home Road, provides donation opportunities. For more information, email [email protected] or call 412-366-3400.
Hampton Township continues to offer diverse and meaningful ways for residents to engage with their community. From health workshops and STEM programs to lifesaving blood drives, these initiatives highlight the area’s vibrant—and supportive—spirit.
