Before stepping into the spotlight with the highly anticipated thriller I Live Here Now, actress and producer Lara Clear treated herself to a well-deserved summer reset in the Hamptons, and by the sound of it, the trip was nothing short of perfect.
“It was so great to spend time out in the Hamptons. Especially over July 4th where everyone was in high spirits,” Clear shared. “I haven’t been there for a while and it was so refreshing to be at the beach on the East Coast. I was able to catch up with some friends and it was so lovely.”
Her glamorous getaway kicked off with a chic blowout session courtesy of Priv. “Yes! I had an amazing blow out by a wonderful girl from Priv,” she said. “She was so talented and it was the best blow out I had in a long while… Was a nice moment of reset whilst getting glam.”
Lara made the most of the local dining scene too, starting with a standout night at Page in Sag Harbor. “I had some wonderful champagne on arrival. The staff were all great. The restaurant was buzzing and you could see they had a great crowd full of loyal locals,” she recalled. “I had the jumbo crab cakes appetizer which were huge and the vegan grain bowl was surprisingly delicious. Walking on the way to the restaurant along the harbor and seeing the gorgeous, gigantic boats felt like I was transported to Europe.”

Cooling off in the summer sun called for a must-have stop at Buddha Berry. “It was so hot over the weekend this really helped to cool me down,” she said. “I couldn’t believe how many flavour choices they had in this place. The flavours I chose were sublime and I haven’t tasted that in a frozen yogurt before.”
Her culinary tour continued at Southampton’s beloved T Bar. “On arrival I had the best martini. It was perfectly balanced and chilled. The bar area was packed, a super fun vibe,” she said. “The back garden area was where I ate dinner, in a lovely courtyard, which was beautifully lit. I had a really nice evening. The pizza was great and the mozzarella was so fresh.”
Despite the indulgences, Clear didn’t skip her wellness rituals. “It was great that the Equinox was close by and available. It’s nice to get a workout in and feel somewhat familiar with your usual routine whilst traveling,” she explained. “I also had some really nice morning walks around the beautiful houses and neighborhood. I love walking and it really clears the mind.”No Hamptons trip is complete without a stylish brunch and 75 Main delivered. “The French toast looked huge! I didn’t have it but that’s a must for someone with a big appetite,” she laughed. “It’s in a perfect location and had great people watching… I also then went into Farm and Forage and saw the famous $400 melon for sale”

Tate’s Bake Shop also earned her stamp of approval. “This was my first time going to Tates [and it] certainly lived up to the hype. As the line would suggest,” she said. “I had a very tasty iced vanilla latte and tried a giant croissant with Dubai chocolate which was so nice. I also got a 4th of July cupcake to celebrate the weekend and it was very nice and fluffy. Tates cookies are the best! I would recommend stopping by.”
And then, there was Coopers Beach, an East Coast haven that helped Clear quiet the noise. “It’s always hard for me to take time to relax and sit in stillness when I’m used to feeling obliged to being on the go,” she admitted. “It was nice to be on such an iconic beach and just chill… This summer we will be so busy with I Live Here Now premieres so it was nice to spend time with people on the beach before the hectic schedule begins.”
With the whirlwind of press and premieres just ahead, her Hamptons escape offered a much-needed recharge. “I certainly feel very energized after my trip to the Hamptons. It was a perfect weekend and I had a lot of fun there,” she said. “The role of Ada is a really fun one. I hope to entertain viewers. She is a little dark, so maybe I can evoke some emotions whilst simultaneously entertaining the audience… The movie can be heavy and maybe scary so be prepared for that and you too may need a trip to the Hamptons to recover after watching it also.”
Sounds like a thriller and a vacation she’ll never forget.
