Wilmington Trust is kicking off summer in the Hamptons with the Rose Soiree, the first event in the Taste of Summer Series presented by Dan’s Papers. Taking place on Sunday, May 26 at the Southampton Arts Center, tickets to the event will include tastings of more than 20 rose wines as well as extravagant food. Top chefs will prepare a sampling of some of the area’s best and most extravagant food, all served in a sophisticated setting where vibrant music sets a summery mood.
“On behalf of Wilmington Trust,” said Daniel C. Shaughnessy, the Practice Leader of Wilmington Trust Long Island, “We are excited to celebrate our commitment to the businesses, organizations, and families of Long Island as the main sponsor of the unofficial kickoff to Summer in the Hamptons, the Rose Soiree… Please join me and the Wilmington Trust Long Island team on May 26 at the Rose Soiree.”
World-Class Wines Headline the Event
Notable wineries participating in the Rose Soiree include Bartenura, Bedell Cellars, the Corey Creek Tap Room, Beau Joie, the Borghese Vineyard, and Chateau de Berne. Hampton Water Rose, known for its French Roots and Hamptons heritage, will also be featured and will host the VIP afterparty. “What better way to celebrate?” said Sarah Grimaldi of Hampton Water Wine Company. “Hampton Water Rose is excited to be kicking off the summer season with Dan’s Paper’s Rose Soiree.”
First-time participant Karl Ziegler, CEO of Concurrent Wine & Spirits, will present Tropez wines, including the flagship Bravade, a rose with notable strawberry hints and a characteristic Mediterranean salinity. “It is one of the most delicious wines I have tasted in my 25-plus years in the wine industry,” says Ziegler. “We cannot wait to pour it for all of your attendees!”
